With Insightly’s seamless integration with Evernote, you can link your Evernote items directly to a contact, organization, opportunity, or project. Custom filters allow you to filter information in Insightly by different criteria of your choosing. You can combine multiple criteria together into one filter, save filters for easy recall later, and even share filters with other users. Custom fields allow you to capture information that you want stored in Insightly that doesn't quite fit in one of the existing fields.
Insightly has great file sharing capabilities built in, so you can keep important documents and information attached right next to the entities they relate to - projects files, proposals, resumes - you name it. Just drag and drop files from your desktop into Insightly to attach and share them with others. Insightly also has full versioning control, so your team always has the latest file version on hand.
Tags are a wonderfully simple invention that allow you to organize anything in Insightly around a keyword that makes sense to you. So for instance, if you wanted to organize your projects and opportunities by geographic location - like Asia, Europe, and the Americas - you can categorize each item by adding the appropriate tag for instant future listing and reference. Tags can be added to contacts, organizations, opportunities, projects, and emails.
Users have the ability to follow items in Insightly like tasks or contacts, and receive email notifications when changes or updates are made to those items. This is useful when you want to be notified when a task has been completed, or when the details of a contact you're interested in have changed. It helps you stay up to date with what’s important to you.
Unlike other CRMs, Insightly doesn't limit you to just creating heirarchical relationships. Insightly's unique (and extremely popular!) linking system lets you create multiple direct relationships between any of your items (i.e. emails, contacts, organizations, opportunities, projects) so that you get real-world, 360 degree view of your customers.
You can use your Insightly contacts to create email for groups of customers, and then you can send emails to mailing lists in MailChimp. You can also easily import contacts to Insightly from your MailChimp account, and export contacts from Insightly to any of your MailChimp Lists.
Insightly’s Web to Contact feature allows you to easily create an HTML form for your website which will collect information from your prospects. It’s ingenious really – simply select the fields you wish to capture in Insightly and we create the HTML code for your website on the fly. Once you paste the HTML code on your website and a visitor submits their information, Insightly will create a contact with the data they have entered and tag it with the ‘Web Contact’ tag. If you choose to, Insightly can also send email notifications and limit the visibility of the new contacts to selected users.
